Jaimee Gerrie is the Principal of UPvision Consulting, LLC. Providing comprehensive services including assessment, review, research and analysis for medical related cases, Jaimee serves attorneys and medical clients in the legal process from identification of merit to verdict, whether plaintiff or defense. As an educator, collaborator and strategist Jaimee renders informed professional opinions on the outcomes and delivery of health care. Jaimee has a quarter of a century of nursing and medical experience, which includes, but is not limited to, Medical Surgical, Intensive Care, Obstetrics and Women’s Health, Renal Dialysis, Case Management, Education, Long-Term Care, Management and Leadership.
Specializing in Nursing Management and Leadership, Jaimee obtained her Master’s Degree in Nursing from Walden University. She achieved her Bachelor Degree in Nursing from Lake Superior State University and her Nurse Legal Consultant Certificate from Brighton College. Jaimee has also served 9 years in the role of Assistant Professor of Nursing for Lake Superior State University and among other previous certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation, and Pediatric Life Support, maintained previous Medical Surgical Board Certification for 18 years.
As an advocate, Jaimee has a passion for improving work environments in which she speaks and consults on risk management, performance management, the dark side of leadership, workplace culture, and more. As a published author Jaimee enjoys speaking about professional ownership which is the subject of her book titled “We Are Gatekeepers: A Self-Reflective Leadership Challenge for Nurses at All Levels”. Jaimee also runs amazing workshops that focus on team building, communication, strategic planning, and conflict management.
Jaimee is a member of American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants, Sigma Theta Tau International Chi Omega Chapter, the National League for Nurses, Michigan Education Association, National Society for Leadership Success, Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce, Regional Economic Development Advisory Collaborative (REDAC), and Michigan Coalition of Nurses Leadership Committee. She has served on multiple ethics committees in health care, Presidents Council, Provost Council, and Shared Governance Chair for Lake Superior State University and more. Jaimee is also a 2016 Graduate of the Emerging Leadership Academy with the National Education Association.
